Job Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) team is responsible for:

• Supporting SPE activities in component design, commodity strategy, and supplier selection.
• Serving as the go-to resource for additive manufacturing process development in the Supply Chain, matrixing to the Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence.

Primary Responsibilities of the AM SME:

• Lead AM supplier development and qualification activities for new products.
• Maintain industry-leading AM knowledge through training, research, and process councils.
• Drive continuous improvement with AM suppliers through evaluations and flawless launch processes.
• Mentor and train SPE team members on AM.
• Lead complex AM issue recovery efforts.
• Maintain a close relationship with peers in SPE teams for best practice sharing, process standardization, and coordination on global cost-out and continuous improvement projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Graduate studies in additive manufacturing desired).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in AM LPBF development and production.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear or related energy industry (desired).
• Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualifications.
