Service Engineer (Milling)
Job Overview:
As a Service Engineer specializing in milling, you will be an integral part of the team at one of the leading machine tool manufacturers. Your primary responsibility is to provide technical support for milling products, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and machine repairs. This role involves on-site customer visits, installation of milling machines, conducting maintenance training, and addressing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and provide support for milling products.
- Install milling machines at customer locations and deliver comprehensive maintenance training.
- Address and resolve issues with equipment downtime, ensuring recalibration to factory standards.
- Record and document activities using digital service reports, obtaining customer approvals.
- Collaborate with local office service engineers and apprentices, sharing knowledge and valuable insights.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate expertise in servicing milling machines.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting.
- Conduct on-site visits to install machines, deliver training, and perform repairs.
- Document activities using digital service reports with attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively with local service teams and apprentices.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing and troubleshooting milling machines.
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to team efforts.
