Job Title: Service Engineer

Our client is seeking a Service Engineer for their team. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair assistance for CNC machine tools, both on-site and remotely. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools on-site or by telephone.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Develop, prepare, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports related to service.
- Collaborate with Customer’s Service Engineers and provide training on newer product lines.
- Build strong communication and customer service relationships with clients.
- Manage difficult customer situations in a positive manner and solicit feedback to improve service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
- Experience with CNC controls is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence (PLC) ladder diagrams.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Adaptability to changes in the work environment and the ability to manage competing demands.
The role involves frequent travel, operating vehicles, and engaging in various physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, and lifting objects. Additionally, periodic tasks include operating power equipment and utilizing computers and phones.
