Position Title: Quality Manager
Location: Indiana, USA
Salary: $140K
The Quality Manager is responsible for directing and managing quality assurance and control processes and programs by developing, implementing, and administering quality standards and procedures. This role ensures product quality, drives quality improvement initiatives, and enhances customer satisfaction.

Manage and direct the Quality Control Team.

Assist production with product troubleshooting and process optimization.

Drive continuous improvement in key areas, including quality, cost, and equipment efficiency utilization.

Perform tests and monitor the performance of processes throughout production stages to determine control over variables such as temperature, density, particle size, and optical density.

Develop and ensure compliance with ISO Quality Standards and assist with internal and external audits.

Manage and train employees on quality programs, tools, and techniques to drive product improvement.

Support production through data analysis and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Develop and implement control plans and Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEAs).

Drive improvement initiatives by proactively addressing repeated batch failures, reworks, and corrective actions both internally and externally.

Utilize Six Sigma tools and processes for continuous improvement.

Analyze quality-related programmable logic controller (PLC) data to develop continuous improvement processes.

Collaborate with Research & Development (R&D) and Manufacturing departments to improve product quality and enhance process efficiencies for both existing products and new business development opportunities.

Facilitate reduction of reject inventory through effective management of the finished product blending process.

Assist Purchasing in establishing quality requirements for external suppliers.

Participate in the organization’s Operational Excellence program.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemical or Quality Engineering.

Quality certification preferred, such as ASQ.

Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing quality operations.

Minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing quality management.

In-depth knowledge of total quality concepts and ISO/QS procedures preferred.

Previous experience with coated and metallized film preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment.

High degree of commitment and initiative.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through.

Team-based management approach with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Experience in quality trend analysis and corrective action development.

Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and tools, with Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
