Quality Engineer I

A company specializing in the development, production, and distribution of top-quality plastic lab products is hiring a Quality Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities:
- Execute change control tasks as assigned
- Oversee analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration to uphold product quality
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate processes
- Assist in devising innovative solutions to manufacturing and quality assurance challenges
- Champion and enforce quality standards, inspection processes, and test methodologies
- Contribute to fixture design and maintenance of part change logs
- Develop, execute, and establish quality key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Present data to management using various tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Support product/process assessment, CAPA, validations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide regular reports to management on quality issues, trends, and losses
- Complete MMDS & SPoT process for new materials and products
- Create, revise, and update quality-related documents
- Assist in risk management activities
- Participate in external and internal audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or related field, or minimum 3 years of experience with an Associate degree
- 0-3 years of experience in high-volume regulated manufacturing industry within the engineering field
- Proficiency in statistical theory and principles, with knowledge of statistical process control
- Familiarity with inspection control methods, techniques, and documentation
- Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Ability to interpret and present data effectively
- Experience with CAD/SolidWorks and CMM programming preferred
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, lean, and Quality Management Tools
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents
- Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills
