Job Overview:
As a Service Engineer specializing in lasers, this individual plays a crucial role at one of the leading machine tool manufacturers. The primary focus is on providing technical support for laser products, encompassing troubleshooting, machine repairs, and customer support. This role involves on-site visits, machine installations, maintenance training, and addressing downtime issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical troubleshooting and machine repair support with a focus on Laser Products.
- Conduct on-site visits to install laser machines and deliver maintenance training to customers.
- Address and resolve issues with downtime on laser machines, ensuring recalibration to factory standards.
- Record and document activities using digital service reports, obtaining customer approvals.
- Perform duties assigned, not limited to laser machines; may involve work on machining centers as well.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a high level of customer care with a friendly and professional approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe).
- Maintain a work schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or as assigned during the hiring process.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to remain consistent with job functions and minimum requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in service and technical phone support.
- Associate or 4-year degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
