A company that specializes in supplying plastic solutions is hiring a Finance Accounting Manager to provide leadership support.
Some of the key responsibilities include overseeing the financial accounting, and management of month-end close, payroll, banking, and more.
Scope of the job:
- Member of the Senior Leadership team.
- Responsible for driving performance measured against KPIs.
- Oversight of financial accounting and general accounting per GAAP and relevant IFRS rules.
- Management of month-end close, payroll, banking, fixed assets, sales and use tax reporting and filings, tax risk mitigation, and other accounting activities.
- Drive continuous improvements in Business Excellence related to accounting, digitization, and other initiatives enforcing internal controls and establishing efficiencies.
- Work closely with senior-level management, locally and globally, to drive business decisions and ensure high accounting integrity.
Responsibility:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals for accurate and timely financial accounting.
- Ownership of monthly close activities, and quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Build cross-functional relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Establish and strengthen accounting processes, including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Drive improvements in the execution of global financial accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversight of intercompany transactions, charges, and reconciliations.
- Supervise general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, concur, cash, and fixed assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements, cost control, cost avoidance initiatives, and operational efficiency.
- Manage accounting deliverables and communications with internal and external audit teams.
Job Requirements:
- 5-7 years of leadership and direct experience in the general accounting field in the manufacturing industry.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- SAP R3 or S4/HANA experience, 3+ years.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Broad US GAAP knowledge and experience.
- Experience with IFRS 9, 15 & 16 is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/audit.
- Experience implementing or upgrading new systems and processes (ERP, Payroll, ACH, Taxation, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience establishing and executing accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.
