In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing state-of-the-art metrology machines, both at our service center and on-site at customer locations. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring our clients’ equipment operates at peak performance, enabling them to maintain the highest standards of precision and accuracy.
Day-to-Day Challenges and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, part replacement, and calibration activities on metrology equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with CMMs, VMMs, and other metrology machines, utilizing your knowledge of GD&T and electrical testing/diagnostic equipment.
- Complete detailed service reports, timesheets, and other documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain your certifications and stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices.
- Ensure your service van is well-stocked and presentable, reflecting your commitment to professionalism.
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- An Associate’s degree or equivalent technical education, coupled with at least 2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- A good level of product knowledge, preferably obtained through hands-on experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of metrology.
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and metrology aptitudes, including an understanding of AC and DC electrical theory.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills, enabling you to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office and business applications.
- A valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
