Delivery Buyer II Position

Our client in North Carolina, is currently seeking a qualified individual for the Delivery Buyer II position. The role involves engaging in tactical and strategic buying activities to support on-time delivery and overall part readiness for Manufacturing, Engine Assembly, and MRO. The individual will be responsible for supporting cost, sourcing, and supplier management functions within the Purchasing Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and evaluate RFQ/RFPs to support business needs, place purchase orders based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate meetings with suppliers and customers to ensure project goals related to on-time delivery are met.
- Support on-time delivery for manufacturing, engine assembly, MRO, and facility needs through effective supplier communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Manage supplier RFQ and negotiation processes, awarding business based on the best possible quality, cost, and delivery terms.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Suppliers to achieve process improvement goals in support of on-time delivery.
- Provide support to team members to ensure processes are understood and followed.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, manufacturing engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience in procurement or supply chain-related fields.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement or logistics-related experience.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and work in teams to build consensus.
Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Good negotiation and analytical skills.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, preferably in Aerospace.
Working Conditions:
- Climate-controlled office environment.
- The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required.
- Less than 10% travel.
