Job Title: Business Development Manager

Salary: $160k
The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling services within a defined area or market to drive new business growth. This role involves engaging with prospective and existing clients through telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings. The position focuses on fostering customer relationships, expanding service offerings, and providing market insights to senior management.
Essential Functions:
Prospecting:
- Travels within an assigned territory to engage with current and potential customers.
- Identifies potential buyers for services and follows up on leads generated from trade shows.
- Conducts sales visits and delivers individual or group presentations, both online and in person.
- Proactively contacts prospects to gather account details, including competitive insights, key decision-makers, and current projects.
Maintaining Customer Contact:
- Conducts post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Revisits previous quotes, inactive accounts, and referrals to explore new opportunities.
- Communicates client needs and market trends to management.
- Represents the company at trade shows as needed.
Administration:
- Manages and documents the sales pipeline using CRM software (HubSpot).
- Submits expenses in accordance with company policies.
- Updates and maintains customer records in CRM and ERP systems.
- Prepares quotations and sends necessary correspondence and informational materials.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong telephone communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, CRM software, and NetSuite, or a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
