Job: Applications Engineer, Missouri

A company that sells and services specialty machine tools is hiring an Applications Engineer in Missouri.
The purpose of this position is to implement 3D measuring systems, software training, application studies, and sales support. This includes supporting the sales team with technical support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to sales team with pre-sale time studies
- Provide process simulations for customers
- Recommend solutions during turnkey projects
- Work with vendors during turnkeys
- Open communication with customers and management
- Stays current on latest industry tools/equipment/methodologies
- Participates in or conducts meetings or conferences on the development of processes with the customer
- Must be able to meet customer demand requirements for performing visual inspection, print interpretation and or other product acceptance criteria with or without customer accommodation
- Exhibit a working knowledge of health and safety, responsible for safety awareness while performing assigned responsibilities
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in GD&T, CAD, CMM’s , VMM’s, CT Xray, and Dimensional Metrology is preferred but not essential
- Strong application background training customers is important for this role
- Experienced in setting up programs, fixtures, etc. and provide turn-key services to our customers
- Able to create time studies on parts based off samples and customer provided documentation
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with management, customers, prospects, colleagues, and vendors, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with 3D Spatial Awareness environment
- Understanding of programming language and macros
- Occasional travel to customers including potential for occasional overnight projects
- Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
