Job Title: Application Engineer

As an Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing 3D measurement systems, providing software training, conducting application studies, and offering programming and sales support. This role focuses on advanced dimensional metrology equipment, including 3D Vision Measurement Systems, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Computerized Tomography (CT), and Portable Scanning Systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Support sales efforts with pre-sale time studies and process simulations.
- Recommend solutions and manage vendor collaboration for turn-key projects.
- Participate in customer visits and provide technical support to the sales team.
- Maintain open communication with customers and management.
- Stay updated on the latest tools, equipment, and industry methodologies.
- Lead or participate in process development meetings with customers.
- Perform visual inspections and interpret prints or product acceptance criteria per customer requirements.
- Ensure safety awareness while performing assigned duties.

Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7+ years in dimensional metrology, GD&T, CAD, CMMs, VMMs, CT X-ray, and related fields.
- Proven track record in setting up programs, fixtures, and delivering turn-key services.
- Proficient in creating time studies based on sample parts and customer documentation.
- Knowledge of probing in macro programs is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a professional demeanor.
- Effective time management under pressure, with a high degree of accountability and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 30%).
Mental/Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for varying periods based on job tasks.
- Frequent use of a keyboard and prolonged computer viewing.
- Occasional exertion of 10-20 pounds.
- Capability to crouch, grasp, reach, and lift products above shoulder height as needed.
Work Schedule
- Minimum 40-hour workweek.
- Onsite position; no remote or hybrid options available.
- Exempt role.
